It was a pleasure to be invited to have dinner with George R R Martin and my friend, academic and director of the Oxford Writers’ House, April Elisabeth Pawar.
Not only that, but also, the Oxford Writers’ House, I place that is in my heart with the most beautiful memories, reopened its doors with this fantastic event with George R R Martin. You can access it by clicking on this link.

Some of these pictures (not the bad selfies I took myself) were taken by @wusallphoto.
Many thanks to George R R Martin for coming to Oxford and spend time with us.
Many thanks to my friend April for being such a wonderful host, director and many more! But especially, for being a dear friend that I appreciate a lot and I’m grateful for having in my life. Since I’ve been working in the Oxford Writers’ House, when I was a former co-director of events there, my life has changed quite a lot and it was partly for having her and my other friend, who is also a poet, academic and more, Mariah Whelan, in my profesional life. Eventually, after years of working together with them, now they are my friends for life and part of my personal journey.
Anyway, I’m sure that the work that we did in the past in the Oxford Writers’ House, as well as the work they are currently doing its essential in the literary world. And it is all for people like April and Mariah, and even the work I’ve been doing at La Ninfa Eco for 7 years, that really makes a difference in the world. It makes me sad how understimated and unappreciated this work sometimes is, but I’m sure it was worth it.
Hopefully we will have more moments like this one to share in the future! And congratulations to the Oxford Writers’ House for this amazing launching event. They deserve this and more!
